I started building an altar for Loki, then I got a weird gut feeling and on the other half of the altar I started building one for Athena, but quickly remembered that they both need their own space so I started building separate ones. Then, in my haste, I kicked a cup of water that spilled onto my painting so I decided to add a lake to it.
Dreams about building altars can symbolize your desire to honor certain aspects of yourself or the forces you identify with. In this dream, Loki and Athena represent contrasting qualities; Loki embodies chaos, mischief, and transformation, while Athena signifies wisdom, strategy, and warfare. The act of building altars suggests you are in a phase of integrating these opposing aspects within yourself or evaluating how they play out in your life.
The "weird gut feeling" you experienced may indicate an internal conflict or awareness that you need to create a balance between these contrasting influences. The idea that both deities need their own space may symbolize your recognition that you cannot fully embrace chaos and order simultaneously without causing turmoil within yourself.
Spilling the cup of water on your painting and then deciding to add a lake can indicate that you are embracing unexpected changes and finding ways to adapt creatively. Water often represents emotions or the unconscious, so the spilled water being transformed into a lake might suggest that you are working through emotions or ideas that weren't initially intentional but have led to a more expansive vision.
Overall, this dream may reflect your journey of self-discovery, the quest for balance, and the creative process of integrating different aspects of your personality. It invites you to acknowledge the value in both chaos and structure, as well as to embrace the surprises and transformations that arise in your journey.
